Keep Cool at the Carytown Watermelon Festival

As you know, the Carytown Watermelon Festival is coming up on August 8th. If the last few months have been any indication, it will likely be hotter than the hinges and you’ll be really wanting something to cool you off. Well, you’re in luck. Breyers (yes, the ice cream people) will be GIVING AWAY FREE ICE CREAM .
That’s right. You can sample FREE samples of ice cream you can make sundaes at the sundae bar (that probably costs money) and Dave Bender will be demonstrating some chef-erly sundaes of his own.
You know Dave. He cooked at The Border (when it was still The Texas-Wisconsin Border Cafe, thankyouverymuch), Melito’s, Grafiti Grille, Europa, The Border (after it was The Texas-Wisconsin Border Cafe), and then finally, Caliente, which he owns with his wife. Why have I never reviewed Caliente? I LOVE that place. Anyway, Dave will be there making sundaes, showing you how it is done.
