What To Do 10/2- 10/4

There are some cool things going on in River City this weekend – notably the Central Virginia Pork Festival, hosted by our friends at the Acca Temple.  Shriners know their pig, so it might be worth checking out.  $25 in advance, $35 at the door for all the ribs, BBQ, ham biscuits, and more you can eat.  Not sure yet if the entry price includes booze.  The flier says “includes all beverages” so I’m thinking yeah.  That is happening this Saturday from 4-8 at RIR.  Don’t hold it against them that they won’t let me be a shriner.  If I’m lucky, they might tell me where they buy those tiny cars, because I’ve always wanted to know.

Saturday you might check out the Carytown Wine Festival.  Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate.  Sample Virginia wines and get a nice glass to take home.  This Sunday from 12-6.

Also, don’t let this weekend update eclipse the awesome review of the River City video that my bud Eric wrote for me.
